Financial Accountant & Business Partner - 12 Month Contract

A Donegal based Irish manufacturing company with operations in the US and part of a wider group of companies. 

About Your New Job
- Supporting the US ‘sister’ manufacturing company: Act as a financial business partner to the operation, assisting with production planning.
- Monthly Financial Reports: Produce and deliver monthly financial reports, ensuring reconciliation with weekly management reports and KPIs.
- Product Costing: Understand product costing, review costs, and challenge local management on business performance.
- Budget Preparation: Prepare and submit the annual budget for senior finance and management review, gathering necessary financial information for the budget process.
- Audit Management: Manage the annual audit process with financial auditors.
Internal Controls: Review internal controls across the business, identify and implement necessary improvements.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flows across the businesses.
- Compliance: Ensure VAT, PAYE, Customs, and other necessary external returns are prepared accurately and on time. Develop internal audit functions to ensure financial compliance.
- Relationship Building: Establish good working relationships across the business, supporting other finance team members.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Assist the financial controller and wider business team with ad hoc project work and financial analysis.

What Skills You Need
- A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with 0-10 years PQE.
- Knowledge and understanding of monthly management accounts, KPI reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and group reporting in a busy manufacturing environment for a large company.
- Excellent Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data to meet reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of an ERP system such as Microsoft Navision or Business Central would be an advantage.
