Financial Administrator (Maternity Cover)

Location: Donegal
Salary: Circa €33,000 - €35,000
Contract: Fixed-Term Maternity Cover

We are seeking an organised and detail-focused Financial Administrator to join a busy finance team on a maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the smooth operation of key financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily bank transactions and maintain accurate cash records.
  • Process bank lodgements and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and post financial journals with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Manage customer statements and respond to account-related queries.
  • Support month-end processes and assist in meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Provide administrative support across the wider finance function as required.

About You

You will be a proactive and reliable individual with strong numerical and organisational skills, capable of working independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in a finance, accounts or administrative role.

Desirable

  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Business, finance or accounting qualification.
