About Your New Job

As the Field Service Engineer (HVAC / Mechanical – Retail & Commercial) you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising mechanical and HVAC systems across site operations. You will work closely with internal teams and contractors to ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems including AHUs, chillers, boilers, pumps, and ventilation systems
  • Diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and supporting system upgrades and refurbishment projects
  • Coordinating contractors and ensuring all works are completed in line with H&S and compliance standards
  • Monitoring plant performance and maintaining accurate maintenance and service documentation
  • Carrying out inspections and audits of plant rooms and mechanical equipment
  • Full coverage of Munster region retail and commercial sites

What Skills You Need

  • Previous experience in facilities management, building services, or HVAC/mechanical maintenance
  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Building Services, or similar
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting experience across mechanical and HVAC systems
  • Good understanding of H&S regulations and maintenance best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

Desirable:

  • F-Gas certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience within commercial, industrial, or healthcare environments
