About Your New Job
As the Family Resource Centre Manager (Full Time, 35 hours/week, Mon-Fri 9am–5pm, with some evening/weekend work), you will:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of Croom FRC, ensuring that all strategic objectives and community needs are achieved.
- Collaborate with the Voluntary Board of Management to provide effective leadership, governance oversight, and operational management; driving forward the initiatives and supports outlined in the Strategic Plan.
- Oversee all aspects of staff recruitment, management, training, and performance, fostering a supportive and engaging workplace culture.
- Manage the Centre’s finances, including budgeting, sourcing new funding, reporting, and ensuring value-for-money service delivery.
- Act as the Designated Liaison Person, ensuring full compliance with Children First National Guidance and safeguarding best practices.
- Promote Croom FRC across the community and with external stakeholders, raising awareness and expanding the Centre’s influence and impact.
- Drive continuous improvement in services, adapting strategies to meet evolving community needs, and embracing new opportunities for growth.
What Skills You Need
- Minimum Level 8 qualification and/or substantial experience in Community Development, Youth Work, Family Support Practice, or similar areas.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a community sector management role.
- In-depth knowledge of legislation and best practice in child protection, governance, and community development.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans.
- Strong leadership, team building, and staff management experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication, strong IT skills (MS Office, website, and social media platforms), and the ability to build relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Access to transport with a full, clean driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends.
