Your new employer operates within the pharmaceutical/life sciences sector and is looking for an experienced Facilities Engineering Lead to support the safe, compliant and reliable operation of critical building services and utilities.
About Your New Job
As the Facilities Engineering Lead, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and performance of critical engineering systems supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
You will:
Lead and coordinate Shift Engineers, technicians and specialist service providers supporting critical facilities operations.
Oversee critical utilities including WFI, clean steam, compressed air, nitrogen, UPS systems, emergency generators and process cooling.
Ensure the reliable operation of cleanroom HVAC systems, environmental controls and classified manufacturing areas.
Drive PPM and reactive maintenance compliance, ensuring work orders are completed within required GMP and SLA standards.
Coordinate permits, specialist contractors, validation activities and engineering works within controlled pharmaceutical manufacturing areas.
Maintain effective shift handovers and ensure continuous engineering coverage for critical operations.
Support GMP documentation, change control, validation, audits and regulatory inspections.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and external service providers to maintain safe and compliant operations.
What Skills You Need
5+ years' experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing or life sciences facilities.
Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and experience working within regulated critical facilities environments.
Technical experience with pharmaceutical utilities such as WFI, clean steam, clean utilities, compressed gases and cleanroom HVAC.
Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification, trade qualification or equivalent technical background.
Experience with PPM, reactive maintenance, CMMS and critical engineering systems.
Experience with pharmaceutical validation, equipment qualification and change-control processes.
Previous experience leading or coordinating engineers, technicians and specialist contractors.
HV/LV authorised-person experience would be beneficial; relevant training can be provided.
