About Your New Job

As the Facilities Engineer, you will:

  • Manage and optimise day-to-day operation and maintenance of site building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, BMS and utilities.
  • Plan and execute preventive and reactive maintenance, coordinate contractors and vendors, and ensure minimal downtime for critical systems.
  • Lead and support facilities improvement projects, system upgrades and small works from scoping through to installation, commissioning and handover.
  • Own compliance for your area: statutory inspections, safety audits, documentation and adherence to Irish building regulations, H&S and GMP standards.

What Skills You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, plus minimum 3–5 years’ experience in building services engineering or facilities management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with HVAC, BMS and general building services, including preventive maintenance and fault-finding.
  • Good knowledge of Irish building regulations, health & safety and ideally GMP/pharma or other regulated environments.
  • Comfortable managing contractors/vendors, reading technical drawings and maintaining accurate maintenance and compliance records.
