About Your New Job

As Executive Specialist you will report to the Director of Specialist Contracting Services and work as part of a small team providing professional support and leadership to member organizations.

The team represents trade associations and mechanical and electrical contractors within the construction sector, providing support and information across areas including contracting, tendering, procurement, prequalification, contracts, and disputes.

You will:

  • Deliver a range of professional services to members across contracting, tendering, procurement, and related policy areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, industry professionals, public bodies, and other key organisations.
  • Organise and facilitate member meetings, working groups, committees, and networking events.
  • Lead working groups and committees, ensuring actions and initiatives are progressed effectively.
  • Support the development and growth of the specialist contracting membership.
  • Develop and deliver CPD webinars, information sessions, and other initiatives for members.
  • Support the Director across a range of policy and committee activities.
  • Contribute to the organization's focus on the modernisation of the construction sector.

What Skills You Need

  • A relevant degree is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in senior administration, project delivery, professional services, policy/research, marketing, or business development. Experience within the construction sector would be advantageous.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and handle a considerable workload.
  • Line management experience.
  • Full drivers licence 

What’s on Offer

  • €55,000 minimum salary with a 5% employee / 5% employer pension contribution from day one. For employees over 35, the employer contribution increases to 10%.
  • Hybrid working, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with a 35–hour work week and 9am–5pm hours.
