Communications & Engagement Executive Assistant

- Salary: €16.34 – €21.69 per hour

About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Executive Assistant to join a busy Communications team within the Programmes & Engagement Department.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to proactively build organisational profile and promote activities to key stakeholders and the wider public.
This role is well suited to a motivated communications professional with strong organisational skills and an interest in media, digital engagement, and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with media monitoring and prepare quarterly reports on media and social media activity.
- Support the management of social media channels, including content curation, scheduling, and audience engagement.
- Assist with the production of monthly newsletters and other promotional materials as required.
- Support the coordination and promotion of events, including public lectures, award ceremonies, and cultural events.
- Assist with media relations activity, including drafting materials and responding to enquiries.
- Provide communications advice and support to organisation wide initiatives.
- Support internal communications activities.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by senior management within the department.
Essential Criteria
- Third level degree or equivalent qualification preferrable.
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and digital marketing experience with awareness of current social media trends.
- Excellent organisational, project, event, and time management skills.
- Resourceful, enthusiastic, and able to work effectively under pressure.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience working in the public sector
- Working knowledge of the Irish language
