About Your New Job
As the EHS Officer, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and provide comprehensive Environmental, Health & Safety support across all projects. You will play a pivotal role in embedding a strong safety culture while ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies and procedures across construction and renewables projects
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively
Act as PSDP and PSCS, reviewing method statements, RAMS, and contractor compliance
Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, and site inductions to employees and contractors
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, producing detailed reports and preventive recommendations
Manage environmental controls including waste, noise, emissions, and sustainability initiatives
Maintain accurate EHS documentation, reporting performance metrics to senior management
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent professional certification (highly desirable)
3–5 years’ experience in an EHS role within the construction sector
Strong working knowledge of Irish H&S and environmental legislation
Proven experience in risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and contractor management
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
