About Your New Role

As an Intermediate EHS Officer, you will ensure the highest levels of health and safety compliance at various sites throughout the Midlands. You will drive proactive safety initiatives, conduct site inspections, and work closely with teams to maintain safe and efficient work environments. Your core duties will include:

• Overseeing health and safety activities and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations across multiple sites.
• Conducting site audits, risk assessments, and safety training sessions.
• Investigating incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective measures and reporting findings to management.
• Working with site and project management, subcontractors, and staff to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Keeping safety documentation and records current and accurate.

What Skills You Need

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an EHS role, ideally within multi-site environments.
• Relevant Health & Safety qualifications (such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
• Deep knowledge of current health & safety legislation, best practice, and industry standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence, train, and engage teams to drive a positive safety culture.
