EH&S Manager – Initial 10-Month Fixed Term Contract

Reporting to: Site General Manager
The Role
Sigmar Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation in Portlaoise to recruit an EH&S Manager on an initial 10-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate must have experience within a manufacturing environment, including working with hazardous chemicals.
EHS Manager Key Responsibilities
- Ensure site compliance with HSA, EPA, and corporate EH&S standards
- Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective/preventative actions
- Manage contractor safety, permits to work, and JSA processes
- Deliver EH&S training and support employee and contractor compliance
- Conduct EH&S audits, inspections, and KPI reporting
- Support emergency planning, ERP drills, and site security requirements
EHS Manager Requirements
- Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related discipline
- Proven EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment involving hazardous chemicals
- Strong knowledge of Irish EH&S legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
