EH&S Manager – Initial 6-Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: County Laois
Contract Type: Full-Time | Fixed Term (Initial 6 Months)
Reporting to: Site General Manager

The Role

Sigmar Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation in Portlaoise to recruit an EH&S Manager on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate must have experience within a manufacturing environment, including working with hazardous chemicals.

EHS Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure site compliance with HSA, EPA, and corporate EH&S standards

  • Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective/preventative actions

  • Manage contractor safety, permits to work, and JSA processes

  • Deliver EH&S training and support employee and contractor compliance

  • Conduct EH&S audits, inspections, and KPI reporting

  • Support emergency planning, ERP drills, and site security requirements

EHS Manager Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related discipline

  • Proven EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment involving hazardous chemicals

  • Strong knowledge of Irish EH&S legislation

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
