About Your New Job

  • As a Delivery Driver and Warehouse Operative, you will play a pivotal role in the safe, efficient, and timely movement of food through the Galway Hub and to the community.
  • You will combine warehouse operations—such as picking, packing, goods in/out, stocktaking, and general housekeeping—with regular driving duties, including daily collections and deliveries to suppliers and charity partners.
  • You will be responsible for vehicle checks, legal compliance, cleanliness, and ensuring all deliveries are completed on schedule.
  • You will collaborate with volunteers, maintain clear communication with partners, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in food distribution and/or warehousing operations.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated and team environment.
  • Full Category B driving licence required.
  • Experience operating a pallet truck (forklift licence is a plus; willingness to obtain one is essential).
  • Ability to complete and maintain food safety, vehicle check, and H&S documentation.
  • Successful candidate must hold or be willing to gain Level 1 certification in Food Safety for Catering.
