About Your New Job as Director of Operations
- As Director of Operations, you will manage day-to-day operations across all hotel departments, including food & beverage, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, conference & banqueting, and guest services.
- Lead, support, and inspire the food & beverage team, with direct responsibility for a large team of staff across multiple outlets.
- Report directly to the General Manager and play a key role in driving service standards, compliance, and business performance.
- Take ownership of budgets, labour costs, team recruitment, training, and guest experience.
- Work a 39-hour week over 5 days, including weekends (flexible scheduling).
- Embrace a hands-on management style, championing excellence and collaboration across departments.
What Skills You Need as Director of Operations
- 2 years experience in a similar senior operations role within a 4 or 5 star hotel setting.
- Demonstrable leadership of large teams and direct management of food & beverage outlets.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, financial oversight, and guest service excellence.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends, with flexibility on scheduling.
- Reside within commuting distance (up to one hour) or be open to relocating.
