About Your New Job as Building Inspector

  • Residential Project Oversight: As the Building Inspector, you will oversee large-scale residential projects.
  • Compliance Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Defect Identification: Identify and report any construction defects or safety issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare comprehensive reports.

What Skills You Need as Building Inspector

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in building inspection or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification: Relevant certification or qualification in building inspection/surveying or construction.
