About Your New Job as a Design Assurance Engineer:

  • As the Design Assurance Engineer, you will support the integration of acquired product lines onto the Galway platform.
  • You will drive design assurance activities, ensuring robust design control, risk management, and regulatory compliance throughout the integration program.
  • Provide technical expertise on product and process changes, supporting cross-functional teams with Quality input into design and development decisions.
  • Champion the application of quality principles, including change control and CAPA, maintaining the highest standards of compliance.

What Skills You Need

  • Proven design assurance experience; relevant Quality or Product Development experience also considered.
  • Minimum NFQ Level 8 degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of design control and risk management for medical devices.
  • Experience with Class II or Class III medical devices is essential.
  • Solid understanding of general quality principles (change control, CAPA, compliance).
  • Beneficial but not essential: Exposure to medical electrical systems.
  • Ideally, previous experience within a leading company such as BSC (Boston Scientific) or similar.
