About Your New Job
- As the Waste Facility/Depot Manager, you will lead daily operations at our waste processing site, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient movement of materials.
- Manage a diverse team—including sorting operatives, machine drivers, and weighbridge staff—overseeing rosters, performance, and mentoring with HR support.
- Drive operational improvements, partner with Maintenance, Transport, and external plant suppliers, and deliver on SLAs and site efficiency targets.
- Ensure compliance with EPA licences, waste storage regulations, and lead on record-keeping and communications with EHS, inspectors, and neighbours.
- Maintain high standards for yard operations, staff facilities, stock, and traffic management, directly supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans.
What Skills You Need
- Significant experience in waste management, depot operations, or similar industrial environments.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Operational knowledge of plant and material handling processes.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance (EPA, health & safety, etc.).
- Heavy machinery experience (desirable, but not essential).
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
