About Your New Job

  • As the Waste Facility/Depot Manager, you will lead daily operations at our waste processing site, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient movement of materials.
  • Manage a diverse team—including sorting operatives, machine drivers, and weighbridge staff—overseeing rosters, performance, and mentoring with HR support.
  • Drive operational improvements, partner with Maintenance, Transport, and external plant suppliers, and deliver on SLAs and site efficiency targets.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA licences, waste storage regulations, and lead on record-keeping and communications with EHS, inspectors, and neighbours.
  • Maintain high standards for yard operations, staff facilities, stock, and traffic management, directly supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans.

What Skills You Need

  • Significant experience in waste management, depot operations, or similar industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Operational knowledge of plant and material handling processes.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance (EPA, health & safety, etc.).
  • Heavy machinery experience (desirable, but not essential).
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
