  • Support and strengthen S&OP practices by aligning demand planning activities with wider business objectives.
  • Refine sales forecasts for existing products by collecting, validating, and analysing data to improve forecasting accuracy and service levels.
  • Lead out-of-stock reporting and root cause analysis, recommending actions to minimise lost sales.
  • Identify future inventory risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to Purchasing, Operations, and Sales.
  • Manage phase-in and phase-out forecasting for obsolete ranges and new product introductions, reflecting these changes within the demand planning tool.
  • Act as the forecasting interface between Purchasing and Sales, translating commercial insights into forecast adjustments.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and Sales to refine inventory level targets within 3PL environments.
  • Contribute to and learn from an experienced, expanding Purchasing Department, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The Person

The ideal candidate is a structured, analytical professional with strong communication skills and a passion for improving planning processes. You are comfortable working with data, tools, and stakeholders at all levels to drive better business outcomes.

  • Relevant third-level qualification, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in demand planning with involvement in S&OP processes.
  • Strong proficiency in forecasting tools and methodologies.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting tools such as Power BI.

  • Proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a structured, process-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
  • A genuine interest in learning about the company’s products, systems, and customers.
  • Adaptable, eager to continuously improve, and comfortable operating in a growing function with evolving processes.

  • Significant ownership of a newly implemented demand planning tool and core planning processes.
  • Strong exposure to cross-functional collaboration with Purchasing, Operations, and Sales teams.
  • Opportunities to shape and strengthen S&OP practices and demand planning standards.
