About Your New Job
As the C&Q Commissioning Engineer, you will:
- Lead DeltaV control system commissioning, ensuring delivery of all technical documentation and protocols (architecture, FAT/SAT, control strategy, validation, etc.)
- Own the creation and execution of commissioning scripts, loop checks, punch-list management, issue resolution, and project handover materials.
- Develop and maintain integration/configuration records for DeltaV, PI, PCPT, and MES/LIMS systems, including interface health-monitoring.
- Deliver all validation and CSV artifacts, ensure traceability, compliance with GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and EU Annex 11.
- Produce comprehensive weekly and monthly status reports, track KPIs, and ensure all training runbooks and operational checklists are complete for handover.
- Provide operational support during project close or termination, including recommendations for outstanding actions.
What Skills You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control/Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years hands-on DeltaV (Control Studio, DeltaV Operate, AMS) experience.
- Minimum 5 years site-based commissioning (API manufacturing experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrable expertise in FAT/SAT leadership, loop checks, punch-list management, and GMP regulatory requirements.
- In-depth understanding of control theory (PID tuning, alarm management, ISA-88/95) and industrial networks/cybersecurity.
- Practical experience with CSV: URS, IQ/OQ/PQ, GAMP5 standards.
- Experience with data integration (PI historians, MES/LIMS, OPC) and PCPT.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- DeltaV certification, GAMP/CSV training, PCPT, and API manufacturing backgrounds all advantageous.
- Commissioning experience is a mandatory requirement.
