Cost Accounting Manager - Tech Industry - Cork - Hybrid
*** Excellent opportunity for an experienced cost accountant ready to take full ownership of a complex, SOX-relevant function within a high tech IT company with European HQ based in Cork***
Reporting to the FD you will have full responsibility for the following:
- Own the end-to-end standard costing process, including quarterly cost uploads
- Prepare and present period cost actuals and forecasts to senior management, including the quarterly Inventory Management and Period Cost Review.
- Lead the quarterly calculation and reporting of inventory reserves, including Excess & Obsolete, Lower of Cost or Market, Used Inventory, and ODM Excess Materials Liability.
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly Cost Trial Balance and Standard Margin reconciliations, and post-close cost allocations.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors (Deloitte) on cost accounting and inventory-related controls.
Experience:
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Min 8 years' in cost accounting within a manufacturing, hardware, or technology company.
- Excellent knowledge of inventory valuation,
- Experience operating in a public company or SOX-compliant environment.
- Proficiency in Oracle EBS/OCI and advanced Excel skills.
