Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established M&E contractor with a strong pipeline of work across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, leisure, and residential sectors.
The Role
As Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the commercial, operational, and contractual delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing mechanical projects from award through to final handover.
- Ensuring programme, budget, and contractual objectives are achieved.
- Overseeing procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractor packages.
- Leading project teams, site supervisors, and subcontractors to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication and project updates.
- Managing labour allocation and resource planning across multiple projects.
- Monitoring project performance, identifying risks, and implementing solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
- Driving continuous improvement and promoting the use of modern construction technologies and digital project tools.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing mechanical projects within the M&E or construction sector.
- Strong commercial awareness with proven budget and cost management experience.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NI, UK, and ROI construction regulations and standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
Desirable
- Experience using project management platforms such as Procore.
- Exposure to BIM, MS Project, or other digital construction tools.
