About Your New Job
As Construction Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a 12–14MW solar project in Cork from mobilisation through to completion and commissioning.
In this role you will:
- Oversee all site operations from initial setup through to project handover
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities to ensure smooth project delivery
- Ensure strict compliance with health & safety standards and enforce site procedures at all times
- Monitor progress against programme and report updates to senior project stakeholders
- Manage site resources including labour, plant, and materials to ensure efficiency and cost control
- Lead site meetings and act as the key point of contact for on-site coordination and issue resolution
This is a key leadership role on site, requiring strong ownership, decision-making, and the ability to drive progress while maintaining quality and safety standards.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction site management (renewable energy or infrastructure preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction processes, site coordination, and health & safety compliance
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and delivering projects to programme and budget
