About Your New Job
As the Construction Contracts Manager, you will take a senior role overseeing the commercial, contractual and operational delivery of multiple utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects, from contract award through to handover.
You will:
- Lead contract management across the full project lifecycle, including contractual correspondence, change management, claims, extensions of time and dispute avoidance.
- Provide leadership and support to Project Managers and site delivery teams, ensuring projects remain on programme, within budget and to the required quality and safety standards.
- Drive commercial performance across multiple projects, managing budgets, forecasts, cash flow, cost reports and project profitability.
- Identify and manage contractual risks and commercial opportunities, ensuring contractual entitlements are protected and properly documented.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, developers, consultants, utilities and other key stakeholders, leading contractual discussions and progress meetings.
- Coordinate interfaces across civil, electrical, commissioning, utility and grid connection activities, supporting the delivery of Solar PV and BESS projects.
- Drive best practice in contract administration, project governance and continuous improvement across the wider delivery team.
What Skills You Need
- Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience delivering major construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, power generation or comparable capital projects.
- Strong experience administering and managing FIDIC, EPC, NEC4 and construction management contracts.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasts, costs and project profitability.
- Experience managing multiple projects, multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Employer's Requirements, contractual compliance, risk management and contractual obligations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce executive-level, decision-ready reports.
