About Your New Job as Company Accountant

  • As Company Accountant, you will be responsible for the full accounting function of the largest division within the group, reporting directly to the CFO.
  • You will prepare and interpret monthly management accounts, VAT returns, annual activities, and monthly management reports, including key KPIs.
  • Manage sales & purchase ledgers, multi-currency bank reconciliations, credit control, and stock management.
  • Drive the implementation of financial controls and best business practices, as well as budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and FX operations.
  • Supervise junior team members and ensure reporting deadlines are met.

What Skills You Need as Company Accountant

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in practice or industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Sage 200 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in accounting within a multi-currency environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Flexible, quick to learn, and able to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving business landscape.
  • Desirable: Supervisory experience and knowledge of tax compliance.
