The position of Pre – Litigation Claims Handler reports to the Claims Manager, and involves managing a portfolio of Property or Liability claims and completing them through to resolution.
About Your New Job

  • As Pre-Litigation Claims Handler, you will manage a portfolio of property, liability and mixed claims within a pre-litigation environment.
  • You will set claims strategies, review policy coverage, monitor reserves, and aim for efficient claim resolution.
  • You will liaise with external stakeholders such as loss adjusters, brokers, and customers; review case details, negotiate settlements, and support fraud prevention.
  • As Pre-Litigation Claims Handler, you will contribute to claims trend analysis, regulatory compliance, and process improvements in partnership with senior claims handlers.

What Skills You Need

  • MCC qualified (minimum CIP) with a relevant professional or third-level qualification.
  • Strong claims handling experience within general insurance, ideally covering property, PL, EL, and Motor.
  • Demonstrated ability in pre-litigation strategy, negotiation, and settlement.
  • Adaptable, customer-focused, strong communicator, and capable in a fast-paced environment.
