The Work
As a Civil Design Engineer, you will:
- Design civil and site infrastructure for buildings and mixed-use developments, including drainage, grading, utilities, and site layout.
- Collaborate with architects, landscape designers, and structural teams.
- Prepare and review design drawings, reports, and specifications in accordance with Irish Building Regulations.
- Utilize BIM and 3D modelling tools such as Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroDrainage.
- Manage project deliverables across all design stages.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical assessments.
- Engage with clients, planners, contractors, and local authorities.
- Contribute to sustainability and climate-resilient design strategies.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering (NFQ Level 8 or higher).
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably within an architectural or consulting environment.
- Experience in site development design for buildings, such as commercial and residential projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
- A strong understanding of Irish planning procedures and Building Regulations.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a collaborative mindset.
