About the role
As Chief Executive Officer, you will:
- Develop and implement strategy for Circol ELT, ensuring alignment with Board direction and environmental policy.
- Lead organisational compliance with waste, environmental, and producer responsibility regulations.
- Advance innovation, market development, and circular economy practices for tyre recycling.
- Oversee planned scheme expansion from passenger car and motorcycle tyres to all tyre categories.
- Manage operational delivery including membership, collection, recycling, reporting, contractor oversight, and service performance.
- Build relationships with tyre producers, retailers, recyclers, regulators, government bodies and industry representatives.
- Represent Circol ELT in external engagements, driving sustainable industry transformation.
Key skills requirements
- Proven senior leadership in environmental services, compliance, sustainability, waste management, public policy or regulated sectors.
- Strong knowledge of governance, finance, strategy execution, and organisational leadership.
- Experience engaging with Boards, regulators, government bodies and industry stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and public representation abilities.
- Advantageous: Experience with producer responsibility schemes, recycling systems, circular economy programmes, or Irish environmental regulation.
