About Your New Job

  • As a Category Manager, you will analyze direct material supplier spend data to identify opportunities for long-term total cost optimization.
  • You will benchmark suppliers, manage RFQs, and evaluate partners to ensure the best price, quality, lead time, and supply reliability.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and contract execution, support strategic sourcing initiatives and maintain sourcing databases.
  • Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies for critical suppliers/components and drive additional projects based on evolving business needs.
  • You will manage multiple projects across various production sites, working with diverse teams and adapting to multiple software systems.

What Skills You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a similar field).
  • 5–10 years’ experience in Sourcing/Category Management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to build category strategies and negotiate based on global commodity/market trends.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (including Pivot Tables) and proficiency in MS PowerPoint; experience with Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings (e.g., CAD).
  • Excellent communication skills, project management abilities, and a self-starter mindset.
