About Your New Job
You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of general carpentry, including 1st fix, 2nd fix, and roofing works, ensuring every task is completed to a high standard.
The role includes 1st fix duties such as structural framing, floor joists, roof structures, stud partitions, and door linings, as well as 2nd fix work including hanging doors, fitting skirting and architraves, installing stair components, kitchens, and other finishing carpentry. You will also undertake roofing works as required, including the installation and repair of pitched and flat roof structures, battens, and associated timber components.
A strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is essential to deliver quality workmanship, while ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and in full compliance with current building regulations.
What Skills You Need
- Full trade qualification in roofing or qualification due to time served.
- Proven experience working on residential and/or commercial projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
- Own transport would be a distinct advantage.
