About Your New Job

  • You will also ensure all technical drawings comply with relevant building regulations, standards, and company procedures.
  • Assist the Technical Design Manager with the development, maintenance, and control of internal CAD libraries, templates, and systems.
  • Report on all aspects of your role to the Technical Design Manager.
  • Communicate with internal and external design teams.
  • Manage and coordinate incoming and outgoing live project information on a daily basis.
  • Support the Technical Design Manager and contribute ideas and technical solutions as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of CAD output across all projects.
  • Ensure all technical drawings comply with relevant building regulations, standards, and company procedures.

What Skills You Need as CAD Technician 

  • Degree (Level 7 or higher) in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in architectural detailing and modelling, particularly within architecture, interior architecture, and joinery.
  • Expert knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp (note: this is not a Revit-based studio).
  • Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations and Planning/Building Control legislation in Ireland.
  • Exceptional understanding of design detailing.
  • Strong construction knowledge, with an understanding of general construction practices, trades, and techniques, and a specialised focus on interiors.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent organisation and file management skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong team ethic.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Full European driver’s license.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
