About Your New Job

  • As the Buyer, you will be directly responsible for the procurement of both direct and indirect supplies and services, ensuring scheduling and delivery management for all suppliers within your remit.
  • You will manage all supplier accounts assigned to you, including issuing RFQs, placing POs, expediting as necessary, handling non-conformances and returns, and organizing supplier deliveries.
  • You will proactively seek alternative suppliers and sources to avoid supply disruptions, reduce costs, and ensure the continuity of supply.
  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and keep them updated, participate in production and scheduling meetings, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives across the business.
  • You will oversee maintenance and data integrity of the ERP and purchasing systems, identifying requirements and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • You will participate in supplier audits and benchmarking activities, support process improvement initiatives, and act as a representative of the company in all supplier interactions.

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant purchasing experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent English – both written and spoken.
  • I.P.I.C.S. training preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and proactively with both suppliers and internal teams.
  • Experience managing ERP or supply chain software and a keen eye for data integrity and process improvement.
