About Your New Job

  • As Buyer / Inventory Planner, you will centrally manage the purchasing process for a range of products and suppliers, ensuring optimal stock levels to support customer needs.
  • You will maintain ERP data for accurate MRP forecasts of inventory, ensuring replenishment parameters are set for excellent customer service at optimal cost.
  • You will develop strong relationships with both branch colleagues and suppliers, negotiate and organise stock cleanses, address problem stock, and drive aged stock reduction.
  • Your role will include timely handling of urgent requests, resolving supplier invoice queries, escalating issues where appropriate, and participating in supplier meetings.

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a buyer managing a large customer base.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Demonstratable organisational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities; strong communication skills across all levels and functions.
  • Experience in problem solving, conflict resolution, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
