Building Services Coordinator

About Your New Employer

• Sigmar are working with one of Irelands most recepected educational establishments in the Galway region.

• The role will support the Head of Building Services, Mechanical Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor and wider Buildings & Estates team in progressing priority projects, maintaining continuity of essential campus services and coordinating works across the estate.

• Role is fully based onsite within a University Campus, full time so no travelling from site to site.

About Your New Job

• Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of small to medium scale Buildings & Estates projects.
• Coordinating project actions, programmes, access requirements, stakeholder communications and close-out records. 
• Supporting the Lab Gases Infrastructure Upgrade Programme, including room access coordination, contractor liaison, programme tracking and issue resolution.
• Assisting with RAMS / method statement reviews, site access coordination, works planning and project documentation.
• Liaising professionally with internal customers, supervisors, contractors, consultants and external service providers.
• Supporting mechanical, electrical and building services related inspections, follow-up actions and contractor coordination where required.
• Assisting with compliance documentation, asset information, service reports and operational reporting. • Coordinating and tracking maintenance or project-related actions through PEMAC / helpdesk processes where applicable.
• Supporting business continuity for heating, ventilation, electrical, water, life-safety, lab services and other critical building services across the estate. Supporting planned MV / electrical shutdowns and other critical service interruptions, including coordination, communication, contractor liaison and close-out of actions. This may include occasional out-of-hours attendance where required, including shutdowns running late into the night or early morning.
• Carrying out any other relevant duties assigned by the Head of Building Services.

What Skills You Need

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in building services, facilities management, or a related field.

• Relevant experience in project coordination, project engineering, facilities, estates, construction, maintenance, or a technical operational environment.

• Experience in a public sector, education, healthcare, laboratory, large-campus, industrial, commercial or similarly complex live estate environment.

• Experience supporting building services, M&E, utilities, laboratory services, infrastructure upgrades, minor works or technical facilities projects.
