Join a well-established organisation operating within a high-volume food production environment. The Auditor and Supplier Management Co-Ordinator supports the supplier approval and monitoring programme, ensuring suppliers meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
About Your New Job
- Develop and implement a risk-based supplier audit programme aligned with BRCGS, conduct supplier audits, manage non-conformances, and ensure timely closure of CAPAs.
- Maintain complete supplier documentation, ensure compliance with GFSI/customer schemes, manage the Approved Vendor List (AVL), and lead raw material risk assessments and testing plans.
- Work with Procurement, Quality, R&D and Operations to manage supplier materials, communicate supplier requirements, and report on supplier performance and risks.
- Monitor emerging food safety and authenticity risks (e.g., industry alerts), communicate impacts to leadership, and manage follow-up actions.
- Lead supply chain traceability exercises, support audits and mock recalls, contribute to internal audits, and drive improvements in supplier management processes.
What Skills You Need
- Third-level qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality, or a related field, with 2–3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of auditing practices, with external auditing qualification and experience with GFSI standards considered an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with flexibility to travel across Europe when required.
