Artic Driver 

The Role

We are currently seeking a reliable  Artic Driver to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

The role involves delivering products safely and efficiently to customers throughout the country, while providing an excellent standard of customer service.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • No weekend work
  • No evening shifts
  • No bank holiday work
  • Earlier starts may be required for longer-distance deliveries

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive articulated trucks and other company vehicles as required.
  • Complete customer deliveries safely, professionally and on time.
  • Ensure products are delivered to the correct receiving point based on product type.
  • Provide excellent customer service at every delivery.
  • Communicate customer feedback, including low stock levels, collection requirements or any other issues.
  • Load trucks the day before where possible.
  • Ensure all finished goods are loaded and secured correctly in line with company procedures.
  • Remain flexible throughout the day as delivery schedules and customer requirements change.
  • Complete urgent or rush deliveries when required.
  • Check that product descriptions and quantities match the delivery docket.
  • Assist with warehouse duties when required, including loading/unloading, stock taking and general warehouse support.
  • Maintain a high standard of health and safety at all times.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring your driving licence, CPC card and required CPC modules remain valid and up to date.

Requirements

  • Full, valid CE Driving Licence.
  • Finish times can be adjusted accordingly or overtime is available and paid at time and a half
  • Valid Driver CPC Card with all required modules up to date.
  • Previous Artic driving experience is preferred but junior CE drivers will be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
