About Your New Job as an Architectural Technologist

  • Technical Design and Drafting: As an Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and specifications for various projects.
  • Project Coordination: You will work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up to date with Irish building regulations and ensure all projects adhere to these standards.
  • Government Contracts: Handle government contracts, ensuring all documentation and designs meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Healthcare Projects: Experience in healthcare projects is highly desirable, as you will be involved in designing and drafting for healthcare facilities.

What Skills You Need as an Architectural Technologist

  • Relevant Qualifications: A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of technical drawings.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of Irish building regulations and standards.
  • Government Contracts: Experience in handling government contracts and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Healthcare Experience: Experience in healthcare projects is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all technical drawings.
