Your new employer is a professional organisation that manages membership and accreditation processes for individuals, supervisors, and course providers. The organisation works with committees, members, applicants and external stakeholders to administer professional categories and maintain relevant standards.

About Your New Job

As the Accreditation Officer, you will coordinate the administration and certification of professional accreditation memberships. You will also process applications for student and pre-accredited membership and maintain accurate individual membership records.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate and timely advice to current and prospective members on membership requirements and procedures.
  • Advising supervisors and course providers on relevant membership and accreditation processes.
  • Reviewing membership and accreditation applications and confirming applicant eligibility.
  • Verifying supporting documentation, including Supervisor Report Forms.
  • Preparing paperwork for committee review and taking minutes when required.
  • Managing correspondence and administration throughout the application and accreditation process.
  • Liaising with the Accreditation Supervisor regarding day-to-day enquiries.
  • Maintaining accurate member details, qualifications, and contact information on the database and website where required.
  • Following and contributing to the improvement of membership procedures.
  • Supporting the development of new membership initiatives.
  • Attending staff meetings and carrying out other relevant duties assigned by the line manager.

This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Accreditation Supervisor. The role involves working with internal committees, members, applicants, supervisors, course providers, and other organisations.

The position operates on a hybrid basis, with staff currently working two or three days per week from an office in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin, and the remaining days remotely. This arrangement may be subject to change.

Working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Flexible start and finish times are available, with the option to start between 8:30 am and 9:30 am and finish between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm.

What Skills You Need

  • A third-level qualification.
  • At least two years’ experience in an administrative or regulatory role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • A calm, confident and helpful telephone manner.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • A reliable and organised approach, with the ability to manage tasks through to

 

The following would be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of, or an interest in counselling, psychotherapy, or mental health.
  • Experience in the voluntary sector.
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM system.
  • A full, clean driving license.

What’s on Offer

  • A starting salary of €30,639 to €32,966 per annum, depending on experience, with annual increments subject to satisfactory performance. The salary scale rises to €42,060.
