Accounts Assistant

About your new employer

My client, a well know energy provider is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for a 12 month initial contract. This company are based in South Dublin and offer a hybrid working model – 3 days office and 2 from home.

 About your new job:

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, appropriate approvals, and timely entry into the finance system.
  • Maintain the accounts payable ledger and ensure supplier invoices are processed.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist with preparing supplier payment runs.
  • Maintain accounts receivable and debtor records, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial records remain accurate.
  • Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and preparation of reconciliation schedules.

 

What skills you need:

  • 3+ years’ experience as an accounts assistant
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
