The Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) is seeking experienced professionals to join its Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC), a panel responsible for resolving disputes within Ireland’s rental sector.

This is a quasi-judicial, contract-based position where members are appointed to hear and decide cases between landlords and tenants. Tribunal Members ensure fair process, assess evidence, and issue legally binding decisions in line with the Residential Tenancies Acts.

Hearings may take place virtually, in person, or in hybrid formats. Members may sit on single-member tribunals for less complex cases or as part of a three-person panel for more complex disputes.

This role suits individuals with strong quasi-judicial experience, sound judgement, and the ability to interpret legislation, manage hearings, and communicate decisions clearly and impartially.

Appointments are made on a panel basis for a minimum three-year term, with members engaged as independent contractors and paid a daily fee per hearing and related work.
