Accessibility Statement

At Sigmar Recruitment we are committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website in line with best practices and applicable regulations in Ireland and the EU.

Our Commitment

We strive to meet the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These internationally recognised guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Our goal is to make our website inclusive and welcoming for all, in accordance with the Disability Act 2005, and in support of the EU Web Accessibility Directive (Directive (EU) 2016/2102).

What We're Doing

To support accessibility, we:

  • Design our site with a responsive layout to work across devices and screen sizes
  • Use appropriate colour contrast for text and backgrounds
  • Structure content clearly with headings, lists, and logical reading order
  • Provide alternative text for all meaningful images
  • Ensure our forms are labelled and navigable via keyboard
  • Conduct regular testing with screen readers and accessibility tools

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Our website, [www.sigmarrecruitment.com], is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address these areas.

This statement has been prepared in line with the requirements of the European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020 and in anticipation of the full transposition of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) in Ireland.

Non-Accessible Content

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of the Sigmar Recruitment website, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to resolve. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations:

  1. Third-Party Integrations: Some content, such as embedded maps for job locations or third-party scheduling tools, may not be fully accessible as we do not control their code. We are in contact with these providers to encourage them to improve their accessibility.
  2. Video Content: Some of our older video content may not have captions or transcripts. We are in the process of auditing our video library and adding captions to all new and key existing videos by  May 2026.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is a core part of our design and development process. As our website evolves, we continue to assess and improve its accessibility in collaboration with users and accessibility professionals.
