Natasha Whelehan

I’m an Executive Consultant within the Finance & Accounting team at Sigmar Recruitment.

My recruitment journey began as a Temporaries Consultant focusing on office support roles before I took the opportunity to gain international experience working in Australia. When I returned home, I relocated to Northern Ireland and moved into internal recruitment and generalist HR roles across the security, manufacturing, and not-for-profit sectors.

In 2006, I found my niche, Finance & Accounting recruitment and I’ve specialised in this area ever since (with a short career break along the way to raise my family).

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies with a focus on HRM, and I’m also a qualified Personal, Leadership & Executive Coach as well as a Mental Health & Well-being Coach. I enjoy combining these skills to support people in making their next career move.

I partner with clients to build strong, effective finance teams and focus on Qualified Accountant roles, from recently qualified through to Financial Controller and Finance Director level.

At Sigmar, my focus is on the mid to senior Accountancy market, partnering with clients across sectors including aviation, fintech, PLCs, and growing SMEs.

I’m passionate about building lasting relationships and being a trusted recruitment partner. I aim to offer honest advice, market insights, and a consultative approach to both clients and candidates. I really enjoy getting to know both my clients and candidates, understanding what matters to them, and helping create partnerships that last.
