Technical Services Engineer

About Your New Job

  • Provide technical support to the sales and aftersales customer service team.
  • Process customer support requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party service engineers to manage customer issues through to resolution.
  • Advise and enforce correct commissioning procedures and communicate all necessary non-conformance to product installers as appropriate.
  • Size heating systems based on first principle heat loss, including appliance sizing and radiator sizing.
  • Prepare BCAR documentation and warranty certificates as required.
  • Generate reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide onsite technical support and product training/demonstrations.
  • Organize and deliver training for existing and new installers/engineers.
  • Support spare part function within the business as required.
  • Assist sales team with providing specification documents for products into developers, contractors, architects, and specification engineers.
  • Attend customer/client meetings and on-site visits as necessary.

What Skills You Need

  • Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services related discipline.
  • Customer-focused individual committed to providing high levels of customer service.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems with previous experience of heat pumps an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and professional with a willingness to learn about new products and renewable solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with customers.
  • Experience delivering specifications for mechanical and building services, ideally working on the design integration, an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Full driver’s license.
