About Your New Job

  • Critical Oversight: Provide oversight during the design, installation, and commissioning phases of programs within client buildings.
  • Program Management: Manage multiple program schedules, ensuring all new equipment, systems, and technical services are installed correctly and function safely.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key liaison between design teams, contractors, clients, and internal FM teams to ensure compliance and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and Compliance: Oversee the installation of equipment, ensuring adherence to design specifications and regulatory compliance.
  • Legacy Systems Review: Conduct reviews of legacy systems to ensure seamless integration with new installations.
  • Functional Testing: Witness and oversee testing and commissioning to meet operational and compliance requirements.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and diagnose faults in new systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Design Review: Attend design meetings and review project designs for compliance with procedures.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expert technical support and develop solutions for complex challenges.
  • Site Inspections: Perform site visits to inspect progress and ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Performance Tracking: Track key metrics and report performance to stakeholders.
  • Documentation Management: Create and manage commissioning documentation to ensure smooth handover to FM operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with FM teams to identify and meet operational and training requirements.

What Skills You Need

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems in commercial real estate.
  • Qualifications: Formal qualification in a technical discipline (e.g., electrical degree) is desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing teams within FM technical operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to analyse complex technical problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage various stages of commissioning and program implementation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical challenges to diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead and influence key stakeholders and diverse teams.
