About Your New Job as Senior Microbiology Manager:
- Oversee and control the microbial testing of pharmaceutical products for release.
- Ensure the highest quality standards are maintained in accordance with current GLP, GMP, and regulatory body directives.
- Ensure all laboratory analysis is carried out safely, efficiently, and timely, with valid data generation methods in place
- Prepare the department for internal and external audits, representing Quality management for Microbiology
- Support and manage the Microbiology Team, including setting goals, assessing performance, providing feedback, and ensuring compliance with training requirements.
- Support continuous improvement projects such as 6S and lean processes for the laboratory.
- Provide input to regulatory files in support of new product submissions and approvals.
What Skills You Need for Senior Microbiology Manager:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline (preferably Microbiology/Pharmaceutical Sciences).
- 8+ years of managerial/supervisory pharmaceutical industrial experience, preferably within a microbiology department.
- Ability to set clear goals, communicate effectively, and deliver results through team management.
- Proficient in project management, resource planning, and budgeting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments (Analytical, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory).
- Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases, Microsoft project planning or similar software).
- Working knowledge of isolator technology and Environmental Monitoring of a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Environment.
