Java Daily Rate Contract with Scaling SaaS Business
A fantastic opportunity to join a growing SaaS company on a high-impact performance optimisation project for their core platform. You'll be joining a fast-moving team focused on scaling and improving system efficiency as the business expands.
This role requires 2–3 days onsite per week during onboarding in Dublin, reducing to 1–2 days or even fully remote later for the right candidate.
6-month contract (likely to extend) – €550–€600 per day – Must be based in Ireland
About Your New Job
Join a team working to improve system performance and optimise scaling processes.
Solve known performance anti-patterns like N+1 queries and transaction management issues.
Optimise complex SQL queries and relational database performance (SQL Server).
Leverage AI coding tools to break down challenges and speed up problem-solving.
Use profiling tools to identify bottlenecks and continuously tune performance.
Work closely with the product and engineering teams to smooth data flows between systems supporting leasing, accounts payable, marketing, and operations.
What Skills You Need
Strong experience as a Senior Java Developer (Spring, Java 8 environments).
Proven background solving performance issues in data-heavy, integration-rich systems.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server or similar relational databases (Oracle/Postgres).
Practical knowledge of optimising SQL queries and database indexing.
Familiarity with profiling and performance tuning tools.
Exposure to MyBatis, AWS EC2, Tomcat, or Windows Server is a bonus.
Enjoys using AI tools to code smarter and find better solutions.
Self-starter who thrives in scaling environments.
