This role, with an Irish wealth management institution, is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced investment manager to take charge of climate change and sustainability investment within the company. Our client manages a substantial discretionary portfolio, investing on a commercial basis to support economic activity and employment. This position as Senior Investment Director is an exciting chance to lead the growth of investment within climate and energy space.
About Your New Job
- As Senior Investment Director you will manage a team of 10 investment professionals, reporting directly to the Deputy Director - Head of Investment.
- You will be responsible for reviewing all investments, make recommendations to the Investment Committee, and play a key role in managing the overall portfolio.
- You will originate and deliver investments in energy, transport, waste, enterprise, and the built environment, driving high quality investments, as well as lead transactions from origination to approval, ensuring alignment with the dual mandate for financial return and economic impact.
- As Senior Investment Director you will build and maintain strong networks with intermediaries, advisors, financial institutions, and government departments.
What Skills You Need
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience in managing high-performing teams.
- Relevant third-level degree; advanced degree and/or professional qualification preferred.
- 10+ years in private investment and/or corporate finance, ideally in Climate or Energy Transition.
- Deep understanding of climate change, energy transition, policy, and investment opportunities.
