The Work

As an Infrastructure Middleware Engineering Senior Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in engineering leadership and the design and development of middleware products. Your focus will be on automation, resiliency, and availability, ensuring optimal performance and security. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design, engineering, and development of middleware solutions.
• Documenting design specifications and system-related information.
• Installing, upgrading, and supporting middleware software on various platforms.
• Managing configurations and tuning for performance and security.
• Building scripts to automate systems and administrative tasks.
• Troubleshooting infrastructure issues collaboratively.
• Cross-training engineers and documenting installations and changes.
• Implementing automated solutions for API gateway platforms.
• Managing scalable API Gateway platforms and enforcing best practices.
• Developing strategies for platform resilience and reliability.
• Collaborating with AI/ML engineering partners for integration opportunities.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in middleware implementation and support.
• Proficiency in infrastructure products on Linux, Windows, and Unix platforms.
• Experience with scripting and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Expertise in integration, caching solutions, and API gateways.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and scripting knowledge (Python, Perl, Ansible).
• Level III support experience for middleware products.
• Knowledge of availability, capacity, and service management concepts.
