Senior Accountant - Remote - Contract (6 Months) !!
Accounting & Reporting
- Manage the coordination, preparation, and timely delivery of jurisdiction-specific financial statements, disclosures, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Serve as a primary contact for statutory audits, ensuring timely communication with auditors, providing all necessary financial disclosures, and completing audits ahead of deadlines.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reconciling US GAAP to local statutory accounting standards before audits to ensure accurate base data for the audit process.
- Support audit processes across multiple jurisdictions, collaborating with external auditors, statutory accounting colleagues, and GL accounting teams to meet deadlines.
- Prepare detailed review memos and reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP for review by the Chart of Accounts (COA) team and circulate approved financial statements for execution by jurisdictional Board Directors.
- Coordinate, manage, and review work performed by team members and external service providers while promptly addressing and resolving any issues.
- Lead the implementation and automation of foreign statutory entity reporting via NetSuite Multi-Book.
Technical Accounting
- Monitor, assess, and interpret technical accounting developments in various jurisdictions, collaborating with the Director of Technical Accounting to address impacts on financial statements and disclosures.
- Identify and mitigate accounting risks across the organization.
- Support ad hoc analysis as required by global teams, including Senior Management, Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Legal, and HR.
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA or ACCA)
- Public accounting experience required
- 5+ years of post-public accounting experience
- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in the software industry, including development and SaaS
- Extensive technical knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, intercompany accounting, and transfer pricing.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
- Experience with complex consolidations in a multinational environment while effectively collaborating with international colleagues
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
