Area Sales Rep – Builder Providers

About Your New Job
To manage and grow sales within a defined geographical area by developing strong relationships with builders’ merchants, contractors, and installers. The role will focus on achieving sales targets, delivering new business, supporting marketing activities, managing customer relationships, and ensuring debt collection and account health.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow sales with existing builders’ merchant accounts and identify new opportunities.
- Develop strong working relationships with key contractors and installers to influence product specification and usage.
- Deliver sales targets and KPIs in line with company strategy.
- Conduct regular face-to-face meetings, site visits, and branch training sessions.
- Monitor customer account balances and support credit control in managing overdue debts.
- Liaise with customers to assist in resolving outstanding payment issues and maintaining account health.
What skills you need
- 3rd level qualification is desirable
- 5+ years’ solid experience in a sales role ideally dealing with Merchants, Housebuilders & Commercial customers.
- Technical sales experience across a range of materials and processes in the building materials is highly desirable.
