About Your New Job as a Quality Technician:

  • Management of Non-Conformances: Handle non-conformances, including technical writing, disposition, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • In-Process Product Testing: Conduct in-process product testing as needed to ensure quality standards.
  • Corrective Actions Follow-Up: Follow up on corrective actions for in-process production non-conformances and customer complaint issues.
  • Audits and Compliance: Conduct area practice vs. procedure audits and ensure satisfactory closure of findings.
  • GMP Experience: Apply your experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a medical device-related industry.
  • QMS Documentation: Support the improvement of Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including raising change requests and writing procedures.
  • Validation Activities: Support validation activities, including first article inspections as required.
  • Project Support: Assist with NPI/manufacturing operations area projects and initiatives such as Kaizen, yield improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

What Skills You Need:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in science, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Decision-Making Ability: Capable of making decisions while working on your initiative.
  • Quality Systems Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of medical device quality systems.
  • Innovative and Driven: Must be innovative and driven to implement changes to systems and procedures.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to problem-solve, including collecting data, establishing facts, and implementing actions.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization and with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, general knowledge of commonly used measuring equipment and instrument selection, and working knowledge of the calibration process.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal GMP processes.
